The Danish rallycross Swift is finally out in action and looks good!
See photos and info about Taylor the Suzuki:-)
Friday came the day when we were going to try Taylor under the right Race actions and against some of the best in Danish and European Rallycross .
The car went through technical inspection on Thursday evening without annotations, so we were a little proud after having built everything on the car ourselves.
The 3 heats went well without any close encounters, and the times got better and better every lap. We should however start in the B-final, where the top two got a spot in the A-final.
The start went well and I came first out of the ordinary track and run some free laps, and drive me up to some of the riders who had taken joker track in the opening laps. When I saw that I was close enough to the leaders I chose the joker track and came out with the leading car. I however chose to lie me behind and go for a secure second place and then be ready for the A-final.
Unfortunately the left carrier arm was pulled out of the sub-frame on the last lap just after the big jump, so the car was no longer able to be controlled and I had to pull over to the side, I was, however, just hit by a Norwegian woman who could not figure out how to run around me.
Even with this disappointing end it was a really good test of the car, and we had some very good data to bring home to work with up to Race 2 in the Danish championship in 14 days in Sæby …
