Race Report for the Co-ordSport Tin Tops Race at Silverstone Circuit
It was great to see the CSCC race season start last weekend. In the Co-ordSport Tin Tops series we had a thrilling day; following a mixed start, everyone made it to the final corner! With the faster cars in each class quickly pulling ahead, but then the race was a showcase of some incredible racing throughout the 40-minute race.
As the pit window opened, strategies varied – some teams made quick stops while others played the waiting game. The close racing continued with cars battling in packs of 3s and 4s, adding to the excitement as positions shuffled in the pits.
The last 10 minutes were the highlight, with thrilling overtaking and back markers adding to the drama. Unfortunately, the race ended prematurely due to an engine failure and a car ending up in the gravel.
