We’ve just had a lovely visit from Kevin Juhl Pederson, our young Danish Speedway racing star, who is on his way to Cardiff to partake in this years FIM British Speedway GP – SGP2 category for Under21s.
It’s so far been quite the eventful year for Kevin having partaken in the Speedway of Nations U21 World Cup finals back in July. However a scarily dominant Polish team powered through for a 9th gold medal in a row. The Danish team of Kevin, Benjamin Basso and Jonas Knudsen ended up finishing 5th overall.
On a happier note however, Kevin also has recently won World Champion qualification in Daugavpils, Latvia, managing to attain maximum points! Meaning he is now in the Speedway Grand Prix series for U21 (SGP 2) which will be ran after the SGP series.
SGP2 gives the world’s top under-21 riders a dream opportunity to share the spotlight with FIM Speedway Grand Prix stars. Watch as they stake their claim to be part of the SpeedwayGP World Championship in the future.
The inaugural SGP2 is an exciting three-round series, having launched at Prague’s historic Marketa Stadium on Friday, May 27. Which was the night before the Czech Republic SpeedwayGP.
This Sunday, August 14th the sport’s top young guns will race on one of world speedway’s grandest stages. Cardiff’s Principality Stadium at 1pm (UK time)
With SGP and SGP2 happening over the same weekend, you can enjoy double the racing, double the excitement and double the amount of unforgettable action. As well as enjoying a glimpse at the future of SpeedwayGP stars.
