ARP rod bolts use the ARP2000 material, which has considerably better fatigue life and the bolts are reuseable as compared to the OEM Torque To Yield (TTY) rod bolts which must be replaced after each use.
ARP cam bolt kits feature a larger than stock flange diameter for positive timing gear register and a reduced wrenching 12 point head design for easy installation and removal.
All Pro Series and Pro Series ARP2000 studs are centerless ground, heat treated prior to thread rolling and machining. The Pro Series studs are nominally rated at 200,000 psi, while the ARP2000 studs are rated at 220,000 psi. ARP Pro-Series fasteners deliver a 20% increase in tensile strength over the OEM head studs and the ARP2000 Pro-Series studs a 40% tensile strength increase.
