Moh Edging Closer To Maiden Podium
Tockwith Motorsports (TMS) and Yorkshire racing driver, Moh Ritson, narrowly missed out on his first Britcar Dunlop Endurance Championship podium after mechanical issues forced his car to retire late on.
Moh, 16, and his team-mate for the weekend, former Britcar champion, Ed Moore, enjoyed a productive start to the weekend at Snetterton, showing excellent pace in the TRICO-sponsored Ginetta G50 during testing on Friday and then qualifying on Saturday, where they secured second-position for race one.
However, after a strong start where he gained positions and thrived during some closely-fought battles, holding onto third-place for his entire stint, Moh’s race weekend turned sour and was cut short after losing a lap by an unfortunate safety car deployment after handing over to Ed and then, finally, retiring with a mechanical issue as the chequered flag loomed.
The TMS team took the sensible decision not to run the car in race two, which, of course, was frustrating, but Moh left Snetterton encouraged by his performance and relationship with Ed.
He said: “Despite the result, I thoroughly enjoyed the weekend. Ultimately, it wasn’t meant to be for neither myself, nor the team, but it was an excellent character-building exercise and a test of patience – that’s the way motor racing goes sometimes!
“I felt comfortable in the car, the set-up was good, and I could see my lap times improving, which I am confident I will take into the next race. In Ed, I found an excellent team-mate; he advised me on certain areas where I could improve – who knows, perhaps we’ll be team-mates again in the future!”
Sarah Moore, who was racing in the series finale of the W-Series at Brands Hatch, will return to the cockpit, along with Moh, for the next round at Oulton Park Island on Saturday 26th October, the penultimate weekend of the season.

Away from the circuit, Moh joined Sarah and fellow TMS driver, Jemma Moore, at The TRICO Stadium, home of Redditch United Football Club, for the second-running of the TRICO Cup. Swapping his helmet for football boots, Moh played a sterling role in defence, but he was unable to stop the automotive media team from clinching this year’s trophy.
