Two of our partners, lightweight wheel manufacturer RAYS Wheels and suspension parts specialist CUSCO, were well represented at the recent Autosport International show, which has seen a 10% increase in trade over 2009 despite the poor weather.
JRM Group/Sumo Power showed off RAYS Wheels fitted to their newly launched Nissan GT1 R35 GTR and Evo X race car while more RAYS Wheels could be seen on Thorney Motorsport’s BMW M3 E46 and E92 CSL Cup race cars.
RAYS Wheels and Cusco parts could be seen on display and fitted to cars by UK MINI specialist Lohen and Ajec Racing’s Evo X race car used for their AAA Saloons race series. RAYS were also fitted to a 370Z on the Nissan stand.
Also fitted with RAYS and on display at the show were Olly Clark’s ‘Gobstopper’; the 2009 Time Attack Championship winning Subaru Impreza, BTCC’s championship winning WSR BMW 320si E90 and runner-up Jason Plato’s BTCC Chevrolet Lacetti.
Turning many heads was the new Porsche GT3R, unveiled at the Autosport International show. Developed for a racing series based on the international FIA GT3 regulations, the 480bhp Porsche car comes fitted with RAYS 1 piece forged centre lock 18” wheels.
Williams F1 RAYS wheels could even be seen on a Formula 1 simulator!
Cusco parts were also fitted to many cars in the PistonHeads displays as well as JRM Group/Sumo Power featuring a Cusco display stand.
