Hertfordshire rally driver Paul Alexander contested the fifth round of the Pirelli British Rally Championship, Manx International Rally in his Promax Motorsport prepared Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII.
Backed by Co-ordSport Limited and Yokohama Motorsport Tyres, Paul jumped at the chance: “The Manx International is the fastest rally on the calendar and competing on it has been a long-standing ambition of mine” said Alexander.
The rally began on Thursday 1st August with the first five stages. The weather being very unpredictable and making the right tyre choices was very important. Also to make the first day more complicated Alexander suffered problems with the 2nd gear.
Friday started with heavy rain and again tyre choice was difficult. Paul Alexander along with his regular co-driver Mike Panes had very competitive times until SS10 when they had to retire from the rally with a broken radiator.
We would like to thank Paul Alexander and Mike Panes for representing Co-ordSport and Yokohama in their Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII.
