Circlips can deform upon removal, compromising their ability to secure components effectively, while the O-Rings might degrade over time or by sustaining damage during disassembly. Given the limited availability of OE parts, replacing those components is essential by ensuring reliable reinstallation and leak prevention. Dodson strongly recommends inspecting and replacing those parts after each disassembly, especially the Pinion Nut Circlip, as the OE circlip can yield during disassembly and, if it fails, causes catastrophic transmission damages.
